Hello! We are Carol & Jeff!

We are so grateful that you’ve decided to learn more about us, as you make such a critical decision about the future for your baby. Adoption has always been our first choice when planning how to grow our family. Carol is an adoptee, born in Colombia, and we love that she can share elements of her experience with our future child. We are also looking forward to sharing our cultures - and celebrating yours so that your baby always knows where she or he comes from. We can’t wait to meet you! 

We have so much respect for your strength and courage, and while we cannot understand how you must feel, please know that our hearts are with you - and your baby - throughout your journey.

Our home is a warm and safe place, full of love and laughter. We hope that this peek into our lives will help you feel at ease.

About Us

We met in college and have been married 11 years - and it feels like every day there has been laughter.

We both come from multicultural families. We love to celebrate that, and value diversity in our lives.

Jeff works as an engineer, and Carol is in digital marketing. We both work partially from home, and we really enjoy the flexibility that gives us. We spend our free time with our pups, enjoying the outdoors, and seeing friends & family. And on weekends in the fall, we are always cheering for the Buffalo Bills!

Our Family

Carol and her sister are both adopted, and her family is thrilled that we are starting an adoption journey of our own. Her Dad is also SO excited to become a grandparent!

He and future-Aunt Maggie will be visiting frequently from their home in Upstate NY to be a big part of our future child’s life.

Jeff's parents, and his sister's family, are all scattered nearby in NJ, with our nephews living just 45 minutes away. We are really close with them, and have loved watching them grow up.

Whether doing science experiments, signing up for a family fun-run, or choosing a favorite Pokémon, our nephews have been a huge source of joy in our lives and we can't wait to see how great they are with a baby cousin!

One of the best parts of getting married was Carol getting another sister! Our trio loves to have fun, and future-Aunt Jen will be a huge help as we raise our future baby.

Our Home and Community

We live in an adorable neighborhood with lots of families of all kinds.

People are often out walking their dogs, pushing a stroller, or going for a jog - and everyone is really friendly. Soccer fields & basketball courts are a 5-minute walk from our door. We are close with our neighbors and have cookouts & movie nights at each other's homes in the summer, do a secret Santa at Christmas and have all gone on vacation together!

Downtown there is a game store, music shop, 2 ice cream shops, and so many incredible restaurants! Jeff also loves the pickle shop...who knew there were so many flavors of pickles?! There is a town parade for St. Patrick's Day, a 'Meet Santa' event, and at Easter the fire department drives the Bunny through the local neighborhoods to wave hello & keep the holiday magic alive.

There are lots of playgrounds nearby, and a handful of farms with petting zoos, corn mazes, apple cider donuts and other farmer's market treats. And we are less than 15 minutes from 3 parks that are great for walking, biking, fishing or feeding the ducks.

Our school system is excellent, and our child will be around children from many different backgrounds, cultures, races, and religions both within our community, and at school.

Our colonial-style house has 4 bedrooms and a backyard that feels private and has beautiful mountain views. Perfect for gatherings, we have a fenced & gated back deck so that kids - and pups - can play safely.
