Hi! We are Brian and Kate!

We appreciate you taking the time to view our page! We hope this page gives you a bit of an insight into our family and our values. 

We have been married since 2019 and have so far grown our family to include our 15 month old son, Brady, and our fur-child, Moe! We are excited and eager to add another addition to our family through adoption.

About Us

We met back in 2015 in our first year of law school, where we forged a close friendship for 2 years prior to dating each other.

Kate previously worked as an attorney for state goverment, representing the state's childwelfare agency who worked to protect children from abuse and neglect. While Kate really loved working to protect vulnerable youth, she left this job following the premature birth of her son, Brady, in 2022. 

In addition to spending time with Brady, Kate loves to garden! She can't wait to grow all sorts of veggies in the spring, including tomatoes, which Kate and Brian will later turn into homemade sauce! 

Brian currently works as an attorney in the insurance field. When Brian's not working his 9-5 job, he is frequently doing various work around the house. Brian is extremely handy and luckily really enjoys doing it! He is always proud of the things he creates and can't wait to teach his children how to be handy too. 

We both really enjoy trying new places, traveling and being with friends and family. 

We have a goal of traveling to all 50 states in the US. Each place we go, we purchase a magnet that we add to our collection on the fridge, and we can't wait to share in this tradition with our children.

Our Home and Family

We are currently living with Kate's parents after selling our first home together, and while we work towards finding our forever home.

Kate's parents live in a beautiful home with lots of room for children. The house has a nursery and a lot of living space for play and exercise. We are living in a safe, quiet town with parks, walking paths and a short drive to the ocean. It has been very special to watch our son grow a close bond with Kate's parents, and hope our second child will get to share in this experience as well.

We have a dog named Moe, who has been a part of our family since 2020. He is a rescue pup from Georgia who was saved when he was 1.5 years old. Moe is extremely gentle, loving and cuddly. He absolutely adores our son. The love is definitely mutual seeing that our son's first word was "Moe".

Both of our extended families live within an hour of us. We are fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with all of them. 

 

Fun Facts

KATE’S FAVORITE BOOKS

  • The Harry Potter Series! A core memory of mine growing up was reading all the Harry Potter books. My mom would take my brother and I to the local bookstore for the midnight release party every time another book came out. We would then stay up all night reading the latest book. I can't wait to instill the same love of reading in my children. I'm hopeful they will want to read the Harry Potter books as much as I did growing up!

Our Favorite Music

  • One of the first things we bonded over was our mutual love of 70s and 80s music! We LOVE groups like The Eagles, Billy Joel, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, The Police - just to name a few! One of our first dates was actually to a Billy Joel concert.

  • Kate also loves classical music (her great-grandfather was a classical music composure), anything 90s (the Goo Goo Dolls is one of her favorite bands), and pop (she's currently been listening to a lot of Post Malone, Taylor Swift and AJR).

  • Brian likes to listen to EDM music, especially when he is working out or going for a run. He also loves pop music (he currently listens to anything Dua Lipa).
