Kay & John
Hello! We are Kay and John
Thank you so much for clicking on our profile to learn more about our family!
We are so happy that this moment has brought you, your baby, and our family together. We are John and Kay, and we have two daughters, 8 and 6 years old. Adoption has always been on our hearts as we build our family. We are active members of our parish and believe that God has a plan for you and your child. We hope to be a part of it.
Your strength and courage are inspiring. We can only imagine how difficult this decision is for you. Please know that our hearts are with you and your baby throughout this journey, whether or not you choose us, and we hope to support you and your baby personally and to welcome them into our family with unconditional love. It is our goal to provide your baby with stability, joy, and a lifetime of good health and happiness.
Our home is safe and welcoming, and our family is secure and nurturing. Kay is a warm, experienced mother, teacher, and therapist. John is a stable, loving provider for the family. We are ready to welcome your precious baby into our family immediately. We are open to maintaining a relationship with you if you’d like, in whatever way feels most comfortable to you, such as sharing pictures or updates, or having in-person visits. If you would rather not, that is okay, too. We understand that this is a very personal decision and want you to know we will respect your choices. We are truly honored that you are considering us as your baby’s parents, siblings, and family, and we will be praying for your continued blessings and well-being. Thank you so much for considering us!
Our Story
We met on Match.com in the Boston-area when we both worked for companies/organizations in Massachusetts.
Kay was busy working and had taken a hiatus from dating, but her best friend convinced her to sign up. Meanwhile, John was working in a corporate leadership position and thought he had “unsubscribed” from Match.com, but was pleasantly surprised when a short message from Kay landed in his inbox!
After a few dates and what started as a friendship, John and Kay quickly fell for each other. Right off the bat, we had so much fun together, laughing at each other’s jokes and playing intramural kickball with friends. We naturally supported one another’s passions, dreams, careers, and interests.
Early on, John and Kay realized that faith, family, and a having growth mindset were three things we deeply valued both individually and together as a couple. John proposed to Kay during a walk at her favorite park, and she enthusiastically said Yes!
…We now live in New Jersey where Kay’s extended family is, and we have two daughters aged 8 and 6, as well as two friendly dogs. Our girls are overjoyed at the prospect of adopting and welcoming your baby into our family. They have been practicing how to be "big sisters" for a long time now!

Our Home and Family
We live on the Hudson River waterfront in New Jersey overlooking Manhattan, NYC.
All of us enjoy spending time in the kitchen, whether it's being goofy, doing chores, “helping” with Kay's cooking, or enjoying a delicious treat from John's baking (he makes some amazing ginger cookies!). Our daughters attend an excellent public elementary school in town, and they attend Catholic education at our parish on Sundays after we go to Mass. We go to church nearly every Sunday, even if we’re traveling.
The girls are active in soccer, tennis, theater, dance, and piano. We live on a tree-lined street that is a quiet dead-end and is filled with other families. Every year, we have a big block-party where the dads grill hamburgers and hotdogs, the moms face-paint, and the kids do a pinata. Being an active, caring community member is important to us as a family, so we teach the kids about volunteering and often help to keep our local food pantry stocked.
We’re also raising our children to learn how to be caring, resilient, and responsible. For example, we let them climb trees, ride bikes, and get dirty when they play outside. We also sit down and talk to them, teaching them how to say “sorry” if they make a mistake or how to take responsibility for their choices. At holidays, we either gather with Kay’s family in New Jersey or we fly out to the west coast where John’s extended family resides. The girls love spending time with their cousins, and have gotten to practice holding their baby cousins a lot!
During the week, between driving the two girls from school, to soccer, to playdates, Kay is finishing her doctorate in clinical psychology. She’s passionate about therapy and teaching, and loves helping people heal and grow. John is a successful local business owner with a master’s of business. He is a beloved friend by many local dads, and an avid basketball player! He started a league in our town that meets every Saturday morning.
Your baby would be joining a vibrant and healthy family with parents and siblings that will love them unconditionally, as well as a neighborhood, community, parish, and extended family that will, too!
