Susana & Andrew

Hello! We are Susana and Andrew!

We are ever so grateful for this opportunity and beyond excited to be on this journey with you! Our hearts are so full at the thought of parenting your child, and we yearn to give him or her a loving home and a life filled with unconditional love.

We spend the majority of our free time mentoring and volunteering with children, but are unable to have a biological child. Adoption is a beautiful gift that helps us fulfill the role we believe we were born for – to be the protective loving parents of your child. We now know this is our calling. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your consideration of us. We already love your child so much!

About Us

At a time when all our friends were online dating, we met the old-fashioned way: on a blind date!

We were so in sync and didn’t want the night to end, and so we were hooked on each other from day one. Our wedding in 2017 was the happiest day of our lives.

We are fiercely committed to each other and after God, we put each other first, always. Our core values guide the way we strive to live every day: humility, kindness, gratitude, honesty, and treating others like we want to be treated. Our marriage has taught us the importance of staying positive, hard work, giving back and not looking back.

Oh, and we love to have fun! We enjoy: Traveling, learning about different cultures, volunteering, running (we both ran the Philadelphia marathon!), and cooking Sunday meals with family.

Our Home

We are blessed to live in a beautiful suburb in New Jersey with a deep sense of community and one of the top school systems in the country!

Our neighbors became instant family. Here, everyone waves and says hello on walks! We joke that we live in a town set in the 50’s. Yet there is so much to do and explore. We love going to the farmers’ markets in the spring and pumpkin picking followed by a fire and s’mores in our big backyard in the fall. In the summer, our favorite event is the weekend concert at a nearby farm where we go with picnic basket in tow. Come winter, our favorite tradition in town is the annual Christmas tree lighting.

And since we are not far from NY, we venture over the Hudson from time to time to soak in all the energy and diversity. But the den is our favorite spot to watch movies and host game nights!

Our Family

Susana’s Family

Mom and dad - my heroes! - live in Portugal. My first language is Portuguese. I spent a lot of time there growing up. My sister and brother are my best friends. We are close physically and figuratively! And my sister’s grown kids, who we spend the majority of our time with, are the highlight of my life. We just adore them to pieces. And the same goes for all my cousins! I have three Godchildren and hope I’m a good role model to them all.

Andrew’s Family

My mom lives in Florida and my dad lives in Virginia. They taught me the importance of being kind, compassionate, and how to slow down and smell the roses. And having been in the arts, they taught me an appreciation for art and music. My two best friends are more like brothers to me. One of them is also adopted and his father was practically my mentor my entire life. Susana and I are very close to them and all their beautiful kiddos!

We welcome the opportunity to get to know you, too. We admire your bravery, selflessness, and the love you clearly have for your baby by wanting the best for him or her.

We hope that you enable us to be a part of your journey, as we know our love for your baby knows no bounds.
